Permanently looking for new flavours, new techniques, he also worked alongside several other renowned chefs of the Rhône Alps region. Fortified by these new experiences he came back to his « first love », the Hotel BAUD as Head Chef, and has subsequently became a partner in the business. Two sous-chefs, and a team of 15 cooks work to produce an inventive and colourful cuisine inspired by the seasons and our local fare. It became the station buffet with the arrival of the railway line from Geneva to the Alps. In 1958, The old station buffet became a hotel. For two decades, Léonce et Dédé Baud worked tirelessly to turn their establishment into a local landmark. After their retirement Mark Baker et André Roussel continued the tradition. They modernised and enlarged to hotel to its present dimensions, building a new dining room, a new kitchen and a dozen new bedrooms and suites. Bonne itself is in the centre of the Haute-Savoie department, not far from Geneva, Annecy, Evian, and Annemasse. Easy to find, the Hotel Baud is just five minutes from the exit 15 of the A40 autoroute that links Geneva to Chamonix and the Mont Blanc tunnel. Geveva and Annecy airports are each just 30 minutes away, the railway station of Annemasse just ten minutes drive, while the new regional Hospital Alpes-Leman is just three minutes away. Twenty minutes drive will get you to the international exhibition centres of Palexpo Geneva, and the Haute Savoie showground.
